Helsinki 10 December 2006 Went to Helsinki for a second time with my new host family. We went there for a birthday party, but we squeezed in some Christmas shopping. Veera and I also went to see The Nutcracker and the Mouse King at the Opera house. |

Santa Claus Village 4 December 2006 On our way back home we stopped in Rovaniemi, a large city on the Arctic Circle. There we also visited the Santa Claus Village. |

Muonio, Lapland 30 November 2006 All of the Rotary Youth Exchange Students in Finland gathered together once again in Muonio, Finland. The hotel that we stayed in looked out over the river separating Finland from Sweden on the NW Border. We had a great time skiing, building snow sculptures, going for reindeer and husky sleigh rides, snow shoeing, going across the border, and feeding reindeer. |
